Nuestra Senora De Atocha

Nuestra Senora De Atocha

In 1622 this ship left Cuba, and was the flag ship of the ships returning to Spain. It left Cuba later than expected and ran into a hurricane off the coast of Florida. At the time it crashed, it had silver, gold, emeralds, and artifacts on board. This ship sank along with the Margarita. It was not recovered until the 1980's by a treasure salvage group in Key West.
